After a smooth hospital induction and delivery with an epidural with her first and a whirlwind 4-hour unmedicated delivery with her second, Lauren knew she wanted a hospital induction with an epidural (no car babies, thank you!) While her second delivery was medically safe, it left Lauren with trauma that took over a year to recover from and the detailed preparation for her third delivery was a way to control the aspects she knew would make for a better experience and relax into the aspects of birth that are not in anyone’s control. It turned out to go (almost) exactly as planned with a few fun surprises along the way!
